G2 Technology is on the hunt for a SQL Server Database Administrator with Development skills. This is truly a hybrid position balancing both Developer and DBA responsibilities. This is a long-term stable contract position in Memphis, Tennessee.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a database administrator, including in-depth knowledge of both server and system-level administration, a thorough knowledge of backup and recovery processes, and senior-level SQL Server production experience.
Requirements:
- Senior- level MS SQL Server Administration experience in a production environment, including knowledge of backup and recovery processes
- Ability to perform both server and system level administration
- Experience writing, tuning and troubleshooting SQL, T-SQL, and database stored objects including triggers and packages
- ETL skills utilizing SSIS
- Ability to convey both technical assistance and customer support electronically and verbally
- Working knowledge of file groups and partitioning of tables
- Familiar with monitoring techniques
Nice to Have:
- Source control experience - TFS preferred
- .NET Development experience
- Server and System administration including auditing security and making (ongoing) security changes
